The price of free speech

In light of the UK Leveson inquiry into media ethics, and recent cases of people being sent to prison for drunken racist rants while on the Tube, this Australian video is a good reminder of the need to stand up for freedom of speech. Do we really want to send people to prison simply because we are offended? And how long will it be before what is considered offensive changes, and our own speech becomes targeted by the State?

Free speech has a cost, but the price of restricting speech is much higher.
